Are you passionate about health, safety and compliance?We are currently looking for a Compliance Administrator to join our Engineering team. This key role ensures that all our electrical and mechanical equipment across our UK sites meets legal and regulatory requirements. There may be an opportunity to visit site occasionally if you wish but this is predominantly an office based role so you can either work from home or at one of our offices across the UK including Birmingham, London, Bristol, Loughborough, Leicester, Salford, Chester-le-Street and other locations.At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters. Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to Company Electrical Engineering Manager the Compliance Administrator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the statutory inspection process across multiple UK sites. This role ensures that all equipment and facilities meet legal and regulatory requirements through periodic inspections, with a key focus on High Voltage equipment and switchgear, Low Voltage Fixed Electrical Wiring, PAT, lifting equipment, structural inspections, and pressure systems.Responsibilities for this role of Compliance Administrator will include:Manage and coordinate statutory inspections to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standardsFocus on High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems, lifting equipment, structural inspections, pressure systems, and workplace safety requirementsLiaise with site operational staff across the UK to schedule statutory inspectionsTrack, document, and report identified defects, ensuring corrective actions are completed and recorded accordinglyManage the compliance and onboarding documentation of High and Low voltage electrical contractorsMaintain up-to-date registers for contractor compliance and ensure adherence to regulatory requirementsCommunicate company standard and specification changes to contractors when publishedMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, defect logs, and completed corrective actionsEnsure timely updates and reporting on compliance status across all UK sites and communicate monthly with higher managementThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of Compliance Administrator will have proven experience gained within an administrative role in a compliance, facilities management, or engineering environment.
