Astute’s EPC Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor within the UK Power Industry to recruit a HSE Manager on a 12 months contract basis for its OCGT plant based in North Lincolnshire
The HSE Manager position comes with a day rate from �450.00 to �500.00 per day.
Key skills and responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and monitor the plant's HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
* Establish HSE goals and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
* Identify and assess potential health, safety, and environmental risks associated with plant operations and implement mitigation strategies.
* Ensure the plant operates in compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
* Manage permits, licenses, and documentation related to HSE requirements.
* Conduct regular HSE risk assessments, hazard identification (HAZID), and job safety analyses (JSAs).
* Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and non-compliance events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
* CDM knowledge is an essential requirement for this role. A clear understanding of CDM to be able practically use this knowledge if and when required.
* Power Plant experience, ideally OCGT or CCGT project experience.
