Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional who is an excellent communicator, trainer and coach, passionate about Health and Safety and influencing change in behaviour and culture? If so, we are seeking your services to advise and support our locations in the South of England.
This field-based role will involve:
Fulfilling the requirements of the management of Health & Safety at Work Act regulations and providing professional advice, training, expertise and support to management regarding Health & Safety;
Raising awareness of risk and providing the board with assurance that the management framework of Health & Safety is effective;
Engaging management and employees with the development and delivering of effective training courses;
Ensuring compliance and best practice regarding H&S issues and effectively following up on formal audits, EHO and Fire Officer visits, and accidents / incidents;
As part of a National team, assisting with the regular review of H&S documentation and developing new policies & systems taking into account new & current legislation, best practice and business needs;
Compilation of risk assessments and monitoring of incident and accident statistics and analysis of trends.

What you'll be doing
Providing professional advice, training and support to regional Retail Stores and Distribution Centres.
Completing H&S site visits both remotely and on site for regional Retail Stores and Distribution Centres
Complete audit close out meetings and agree findings from reports with local management along with actions to address weaknesses identified
Raising awareness of risk and providing the Group Health and Safety Manager with assurance that the management framework of Health & Safety is effective
Ensuring compliance and company best practice regarding H&S issues and effectively following up on external audits, insurance inspections, EHO and Fire Officer visits
Complete accident investigations when required
Complete Fire Risk Assessment reviews across your region following a structured plan
As part of a National team, assisting with the regular review of H&S documentation and developing new policies & systems taking into account new & current legislation, best practice and business needs
Monitoring your regions performance of H&S through the online management system
Flexibility will be required as you will support our Manufacturing sites on occasion.

Have excellent time management and planning skills
Have strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
Be self motivated with the ability to work from home occasionally
Be able to manage their own calendar and be flexible on daily work patterns
Hold NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
Have good IT proficiency
NEBOSH National General Certificate (or similar)
Fire Risk Assessor Level 3 Qualification
H&S experience within the retail and distribution sector preferred
This is a field based role so you will need a full driving license
Overnight hotel stays are required when completing site visits
