We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fire Safety Specialist to lead fire safety protocols, training, and compliance across our multisite organisation. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, service users, employees, and visitors. You will oversee fire safety systems, provide expert advice, and deliver engaging fire safety training to staff. Frequent travel across North London and Essex is required, so access to a vehicle is essential.

What you will be doing:

Fire Safety Compliance & Risk Management:


Developing and maintaining fire safety policies in line with legal standards.
Ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation and best practices.
Supporting and tracking actions from fire risk assessments.


Fire Safety Training & Awareness:


Designing and delivering fire safety training, including evacuation drills and equipment use.
Training staff on fire safety protocols and emergency procedures.


Fire Safety Equipment & Systems:


Overseeing fire safety system maintenance and compliance.
Working with the Property Team to ensure systems remain operational.


Stakeholder & Relationship Management:


Serving as the primary contact for the London Fire Brigade.
Building strong relationships with managers to ensure site-wide compliance.


Reporting & Incident Management:


Maintaining detailed records of inspections, drills, and fire-related incidents.
Investigating incidents and recommend corrective actions.


Continuous Improvement:


Staying current with fire safety legislation and best practices.
Regularly reviewing and enhancing fire safety procedures and training programmes.


What we are looking for


NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent).
At least 3 years of experience in fire safety management or related roles.
Experience managing fire safety across multiple sites with diverse functions.
Proven experience in developing and delivering fire safety training.
Experience in social care or the non-profit sector.
Understanding of fire risk assessment processes, fire engineering, and fire-stopping measures.
Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management.
Ability to deliver engaging and informative training sessions to various audiences.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
Excellent organisational skills, including report writing, auditing, and inspection experience.
