We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the smooth operation of our Stockton on Tees, Lawson Street Health Centre.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of administrative duties, including reception work, back-office support, and managing incoming calls. You will also assist with direct patient contact and contribute to the effective running of the medical centre by maintaining efficient administrative systems and procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of administrative duties, including reception work, back-office support, and managing incoming calls. You will also assist with direct patient contact and contribute to the effective running of the medical centre by maintaining efficient administrative systems and procedures. If you're detail-oriented and passionate about healthcare support, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Main Responsibilities
Greet and register patients, book appointments, and manage general inquiries at the reception desk.
Manage incoming calls from the call centre and take appropriate action.
Send appointment reminders and process postal test results.
Run reports and ensure high standards of data quality in the clinical system.
Book translators for appointments and handle patient records.
Assist with filing, distribution of mail, and handling of post.

The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the Administrator role will possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essential:


NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration
Experience in a healthcare environment in an administrative capacity
Demonstrated interest in Business Administration and Health Care
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for document production
Clear communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone, with a diverse range of individuals
Flexible approach to work, including the willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary
Commitment to continuous personal and professional development
Strong team player dedicated to continuous improvement


Desirable:


Knowledge of sexual health services
