THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu. In addition, The Village Pub will bring together hotel guests and friendly locals. The Village Pub menu will be brimming with nostalgic classics that give a sense of comfort and home-cooked familiarity.We are delighted to be recruiting for Chef de Parties to join either our hotel or pub brigade.The Role: As Chef de Partie, you will experience all sections of the kitchen, keeping to timescales and ensuring the preparation and delivery of all food meets a high standard.Responsibilities include but not limited to: A roll-up your sleeve, get stuck in approach to all tasks assigned by the Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef.Working collaboratively, ensuring your section meets to timescales.Preparation and cooking of meat, fish, veg including hot & cold starters and main courses.Supporting the pastry section as/when required.Ensuring a clean and organised workstation.Our kitchens are fast paced and energetic, which is what we look for in an individual. Come with enthusiasm, your knives and a bucketful of passion and we can help you develop the rest.
