Be part of something greater.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESDelivery of consistent levels of service, within the Company's standards, to support contract specifications, service offer and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targetsCompliance to company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHHClient and consumer retention and satisfactionDevelopment of supplier relationships to support the business strategyDevelopment and succession planning of culinary talentSegment growth.   Creative development of all offers across site, aligned to growth strategySpecifically to ensure that the venue remains ahead of the market in understanding and delivering creative and relevant innovation Continual innovation is demonstrated with regards to menu and offer development Present each menu design at relevant client tastings and be able to speak passionately about each dishWorking with internal departments such as Marketing and Operations to define the offers that the business requires THE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou will be a proactive and empowered Chef with a creative approach to food and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.  You will have extensive knowledge of the premium restaurant sector and be accustomed to working in large venues delivering exceptional food offerings.   Strong leaderships skills are essential, as when needed, there is an expectation for you to manage large volumes of casual staff as well as your regular team. You also must be available to work 5 days over 7 which will include some evenings and weekends.You will also have:Essential:Experience in a high volume environment – major events or large scale banqueting operationA passionate interest in the catering industry – knowledge of current trends, well read, eats out in interesting restaurants on a regular basis, talks about and gets excited about foodExcellent communication skills and the ability to present to colleagues, peers and clientsFinancial awareness and understanding of a food profit and loss account and articulate how to control food cost and generate positive food marginProven ability to manage and lead a team of chefs Ability to communicate at all levels and have excellent presentation skillsNVQ Level 2 in Culinary Arts (or qualified by experience)Excellent presentation skillsDesirable:Supervising Food Safety Level 3 qualification (can be trained on site)IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification (can be trained on site)Experience of working with clients in a contract catering environment Staff training experience WHAT WE OFFERIn return for your commitment and hard work, we offer a salary of up to £36,000 plus access to our extensive benefits package, which includes:Contributory pension scheme of up to 6%Bonus schemeA buy and sell holiday scheme of up to 3 days (FTE)Volunteering days via our charity partner STOP HUNGERNumerous voluntary benefits, including dental care, gym discounts, retail / hospitality, and many moreIf you have a passion for food and you looking for a job that will challenge you to your limits then this is the role for you!
