Compliance Advice Manager

As we continue to evolve and lead the industry through regulatory changes and enhanced customer expectations, we’re looking for a skilled Compliance Advice Manager to join our Risk & Compliance team.
This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape our compliance strategy and provide expert, independent guidance across our regulated funeral plan activities. You’ll operate in the second line of defence, delivering clear, proportionate advice and ensuring our business complies with FCA and industry regulations, including FPCOBS and Consumer Duty.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the provision of proportionate and practical regulatory advice across business units.
Support incident closure and guide remediation activity through Monitoring and Audit findings.
Conduct horizon scanning and communicate regulatory change using our Regulatory Radar.
Own the compliance sign-off process for financial promotions and perform quality spot checks.
Support regulatory reporting, audit readiness, and manage responses to the FCA and other bodies.
Escalate issues where needed and support senior management in risk and compliance matters.
Deliver training across the business to raise awareness and embed a strong compliance culture.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Brings demonstrated experience in a second line of defence compliance advisory role within a regulated financial services environment.
Has working knowledge of FCA regulation (especially FPCOBS), Consumer Duty, and horizon scanning.
Is a clear communicator and trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across marketing, legal, operations, and product teams.
An analytical thinker who can proactively assess regulatory changes, conduct horizon scanning, and translate risk into practical business impact.
Can simplify complex regulation into actionable business advice with a pragmatic mindset.
Demonstrates high attention to detail, integrity, and a proactive approach to managing compliance risks.
