Astute’s Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on 12 months for its Scotland site.
The Quantity Surveyor role comes with a competitive rate per day.
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will need experience in the following;
* Review interim valuations and payment applications across various disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), and Scaffolding etc. submitted by subcontractors.
* Prepare payment certificates for all packages to be signed off by the contractor’s representative.
* Maintain a comprehensive register of all issued payment certificates, ensuring alignment with the contractual payment terms.
* Certify progress payments to subcontractors in a timely and systematic manner.
* Assess completed work on-site and verify compliance with contractual obligations.
* Lead negotiations and evaluations of variation claims submitted by subcontractors.
* Prepare, review, and reach agreement on the final account with each subcontractor prior to contract closure.
* Reconcile all outstanding financial matters, including variations, claims, and provisional sums, to ensure accurate contract finalisation.
