An opportunity is available for a Street Works Admin Assistant working in our Castle Donington depot.Reporting to the Street Works Team Leader you will carry out the payment process for street-works related invoices, and use your knowledge of street works legislation to check validity of permit fees.  As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Our vision is to be at the heart of a clean, fair and affordable energy future and we are doing this in a fast-moving industry with an increasing focus on tackling climate change, exploring new energy sources that are renewable, low carbon, and improve efficiency to meet demand.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure all street works charges are recorded, processed and recharged promptly.Provide timely and accurate reporting around street works invoices. Represent the street works team at internal meetings, either virtually or in person, across the businessLiaise with Highway Authorities on street works charges queries.Liaise with operational teams and delivery partners to resolve street works charges and recharge queries.Answering general street works calls.Assist, where needed with other tasks within the team.Support the success of the business by contributing to team meetings.Be prepared to travel to internal and external venues to meet with stakeholders as required.The Ideal CandidateExcellent organisational, communication and customer service skillsKnowledge of street works legislation and systems relevant to EnglandStrong interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills.The ability to prioritise a busy workloadGood general knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Access, Outlook. Excellent attention to detail.The ability to plan ahead with a proactive "can do" attitude..Be ambitious and strive to be even betterNational Grid Electricity Distribution is committed to safeguarding the interests of the Company, colleagues and customers.
