We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 5 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team based at our Lanswood Park location in Colchester. In this key role, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to children, working collaboratively to support them, their families, and carers in achieving optimal self-management and care. Co-facilitating targeted parent education workshops to families of children who have been referred to the Occupational Therapy TeamCo-facilitating targeted school education workshops around sensory processing and gross and fine motor skill development.Facilitating targeted Occupational Therapy group sessions at different sites across North Essex to support the development of children’s skills and function.Please see the attached job description for a full list of job responsibilities.The Ideal CandidateDiploma/Degree in Occupational TherapyRegistered and compliant with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)Evidence of Post graduate training/or equivalent experience relevant to speciality such as:Child DevelopmentSpecialist courses/ study on conditions that affect child development, autistic spectrum disorder, ADHD, neurodevelopmental conditionsEvidence of continuing professional developmentDemonstrable post registration experience of working with children in a similar area of paediatric practice.Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Experience of using a range of assessments and treatment methodsA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposesPlease see the attached job description for a full person specification.About The CompanyWe change lives by transforming health and care.
