We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Licensing Manager.In this role, you will support the Senior Licensing Manager in executing a long-term sales strategy for the global licensing business, leveraging the LFC IP to build a sustainable licensing programme and drive revenue growth.You will focus on executing the club’s Merchandising and Licensing Strategies, identifying and acquiring new sales opportunities, building strategic relationships with potential Licensees, and ensuring the achievement of annual sales targets. What will you be doing?Sales Execution & New Business AcquisitionExecute the sales strategy set by the Senior Licensing Manager to expand the global business across targeted categories.Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to fill market gaps across various categories, considering age segments, market dynamics, and sales channels.Collaborate closely with the Partnership team to support Club-wide business development and sales growth initiatives, particularly in areas with licensing elements.Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions (e.g., Brand Licensing Europe) to generate leads and foster relationships with potential clients and partners.Develop tailored presentations to launch new products and pitch licensing opportunities.Keep up to date with seasonal trends and retail buying cycles to maximize sales opportunities with new clients.Sales Reporting & ForecastingBe accountable for achieving sales targets and revenue growth for new business opportunities.Work closely with the finance team to track sales pipeline and assess new business opportunities.Analyse current licensee performance, identifying sales gaps and opportunities to enhance new business opportunities.Provide regular sales pipeline updates to the Senior Licensing Manager, including new business opportunities, market developments, and competitor activity.Assist the finance team with royalty reporting and invoicing for clients, ensuring timely payments and minimizing overdue invoices.Internal Stakeholder Engagement & Deal Sign-OffPitch new business deals and opportunities at internal meetings, working closely with the Senior Licensing Manager. Keep senior leadership and cross-functional teams, on the status of ongoing and potential deals.Prepare and present sales opportunities and deals during Merchandising and Club deal reviews, ensuring that all relevant details are clearly communicated to facilitate sign-off and approval.Collaborate with the legal team to negotiate terms, finalize contract details, and address any legal concerns or revisions that may arise during the deal-making process.Work closely with the Legal Team to ensure that all licensing agreements are executed accurately and efficiently, adhering to legal standards and company policies. Team Player & Cross-Functional CollaborationActively collaborate with other teams across the club, including product development, finance, partnerships, and marketing, to ensure smooth execution of deals.Work closely with internal teams to align on deal terms, contract details, and product innovation, ensuring that all departments are on the same page and fully supportive of new business initiatives.Be a proactive team player, maintaining strong relationships and open communication to ensure that internal and external hurdles are addressed promptly, enabling deals to move forward and get over the line. Who are we looking for?To be successful in this role, you will have a degree (or equivalent) and a proven track record in sales-driven licensing.You will demonstrate strong commercial acumen and financial awareness, with a solid understanding of P&L management to drive profitability and growth.Your ability to negotiate effectively and present confidently to business leaders will be essential in securing new licensees and deals.Your analytical mindset will allow you to identify sales opportunities and develop targeted strategies to drive new business.You will bring experience in international licensing, using your knowledge to expand the reach of the licensing program globally and achieve sales targets.You will thrive in a dynamic, results-driven environment, working flexibly to meet business needs, including regular travel domestically and internationally to meet with licensees and agents to close deals and foster long-term relationships.Why should you apply?This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week.
