We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Associate, People & Culture Business Partner for the LFC Foundation.You will be responsible to lead the execution of proactive people planning and the implementation of change aligned to the people strategy and LFC Foundation 5-year Strategic objectives to deliver the Charities ambitious growth plans.You will work in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders and People & Culture colleagues across both the Club and the LFC Foundation to shape, develop and deliver People plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the Charity and to ensure that LFC Foundation capitalises and aligns to the Club’s priorities.This role will operate as the People & Culture subject matter expert, to advise, guide and support colleagues and managers by providing high level people management and development support across LFC Foundation. You will be experienced across the full range of generalist People & Culture activities at a senior level with ability to sit on the Senior Leadership team for the Charity but be prepared to roll sleeves up and get involved to ensure the People & Culture service is significantly enhanced.Liverpool Football Club Foundation is the Official Charity of one of the world’s biggest football clubs and greatest football families, with millions of supporters worldwide. The main purpose of this role is to implement and manage the delivery of the LFC Foundation’s Marketing and Communication strategy, supporting the charity’s business objectives, including income targets to help us achieve our ambition of being one of the biggest sports club charities in the world – but most importantly, in doing so enable us to support over 500,000 beneficiaries by 2030.What will you be doing?STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT/ORGANISATION CAPABILITYProvide solutions, advice, recommendations and interventions to key stakeholders and contacts on employment matters, influencing management and leadership around the people agenda in order to maximise service performance.Identify People & Culture priorities from departmental people plans, translating charity requirements into effective people practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives and strategies.Develop and implement local strategies for attraction, retention, engagement and development of people by understanding the business and acting as a thought leader.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates and keep up to date with external trends and contribute to the development of People & Culture policies in line with current legislation and best practice.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Charities Commission framework and Safeguarding regulations as they relate to the LFC Foundation with particular focus on Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation.Resolve complex departmental challenges where a nuanced approach and a high level of interpersonal skills to mitigate risk.Providing expert people advice and guidance to managers and colleagues on People & Culture matters, supporting managers in dealing with complex casework, performance, attendance and employee relations issues.Identifying People & Culture priorities from Club and departmental plans, translating business requirements into effective people practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives.Delivering key People & Culture initiatives across the People & Culture spectrum, including workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, talent management, pay and reward, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management with ability to measure success across those activities against People KPI’s for the charityAnalysing and reporting People & Culture information to support with benchmarking and the development of HR strategies and solutions.Maintaining a clear understanding and providing up to date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates; developing People & Culture policies in line with current legislation and keeping abreast of modern People & Culture procedures and best practice in collaboration with the Head of Governance and Compliance to ensure that LFC Foundation specific Policies are in place to meet CCOP requirements.Supporting the implementation of the Foundation’s pay and reward strategyTaking a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.Build trusted relationships and challenge thinking at a senior level to influence decisions which support the achievement of the Foundation’s business objectives. Contribute to the effectiveness of senior stakeholders through coaching, facilitation and acting as trusted advisor.Ensure that all recruitment activity is delivered in a timely and well organised way and hiring managers are fully involved in the process.Anticipate and forecast resourcing needs to ensure the delivery of resource plans.Co- create solutions to drive improved employee engagement using technical know- how and best practice thinking.Lead the application and development of a structured talent mapping process, and create succession and risk mitigation plans, which feed into the strategic workforce plan.Create and maintain a high performing culture via a range of interventions including coaching, support, guidance and challenge to develop strong performing teamsAnalysing and reporting HR information to support key business decisions.HR OPERATING MODELLead the People & Culture vision, including role modelling leadership and taking an active role in ensuring the HR Operating Model is embedded successfully.Act as a coach and mentor to the People Service team members, role modelling professional People & Culture standards which enhances the reputation of the People team.Suggest ways to enhance the effectiveness of the People team and take the lead in implementing these in conjunction with appropriate members of the people teamMonitoring and supporting People & Culture activity to ensure the terms of the SLA’s are being met.Who are we looking for?To be successful in this role, you will a degree or professional qualification preferred, with significant generalist People & Culture experience. A proven track record of business partnering with senior stakeholders and strong commercial acumen is essential. It is important you have comprehensive knowledge of People & Culture policies and practices and employment law.The right candidate will have recognised experience in delivering complex change initiatives and able to navigate constant change. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and resilience are necessary, along with the capacity to handle conflict effectively. You will possess the ability to derive insights from a variety of data sources.You will be a proven implementer, persuasive, and assertive. You will be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, even under tight deadlines. Knowledge of Safeguarding and Charities Commission legislation is also highly desirable.Why should you apply?This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week.
