As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the heart of our Cargo business, managing both new and existing clients in the perishable goods sector. Your role involves nurturing valuable partnerships across the supply chain, driving significant revenue growth whilst maintaining profit and loss accountability. You will collaborate closely with our Operations team to uphold world-class standards in food security, safety, quality, and sustainability. This position entails facilitating exciting commercial projects that aim to enhance our service delivery in one of the busiest ports in Europe.
Hours of Work: Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
Business Development Manager Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the freight or logistics industries.
* Background in the perishable/reefer industry within a port environment is desirable.
* Strong account management skills with a demonstrated record of developing commercial proposals.
* Ability to create engaging marketing materials and deliver impactful presentations.
* Must possess a full UK driving licence and be willing to undertake domestic and international travel.
