What is the job role?We’re looking for a proactive and highly motivated analyst to join Coventry City Council’s Housing & Homelessness Service. Housing demand has increased in recent years, and this role is more vital than ever in helping the service meet its ambitious objectives. You will play a pivotal role in improving how we capture, analyse, and present data, ensuring that insights drive smarter decisions across services that support some of our most vulnerable residents.Working across key areas including Housing Options, Temporary Accommodation, and Rough Sleeping, you’ll lead on performance reporting and data analysis using tools like Excel and Power BI. You will also help us improve our reporting systems by increasing automation, reducing manual processes, and supporting continuous improvement throughout the service. This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for using data to shape better outcomes for local communities. Strong technical skills are essential, especially in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. You will also need to be able to build a good understanding of the housing and homelessness services that we provide to residents. You’ll have experience working with performance data, developing dashboards, and producing meaningful insight that helps inform decision-making. A key part of this role is supporting the service to meet statutory reporting requirements, so accuracy and attention to detail are essential.We’re looking for someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate findings clearly to a range of audiences.
