We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as Senior Specialist, Junior Merchandiser (Branded and International). In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial delivery of your category/department; shaping the ranges that enable delivery of targets, working closely with the supply chain team to ensure adherence to critical path timelines and successful trading delivery and providing insights to help shape the longer-term sourcing and trading strategy for the company.You will be a critical stakeholder, driving key business activities and working cross functionally with various departments internally to ensure successful delivery of the trading plan and business KPI’s. You will lead the category and seek to maximise commercial opportunities through effective trading and inventory management.You will also support the Supply Chain Admin team to ensure that the departmental back-office tasks and administration is completed in line with the critical path and with complete accuracy.What will you be doing? Work closely with the Senior Manager of your designate area to understand the business strategy and focuses to support the delivery of business growth.Complete range planning and analysis on a regular basis, and present framework analysis to the Product team and wider business to define business buying needs and trigger the buying cycle.You will drive improved performance and fan experience through exceptional stock managementManage Stock and Supplier base in line with business demands and operational best practices.Help develop and implement new strategies to minimise markdown and maximise profitOwning the relevant areas of the critical path. Challenging risk and agree actions with the team to ensure that together you achieve on time launchManage seasonal capacity planning across multiple product ranges, ensuring full supply chain alignment of plans, requirements, and constraints.Work to the Commercial Trading Calendar for consumer launch dates for ranges and collaborations.Ownership of launch coordination to enable effective Trading Calendar and sales delivery, ensuring all sales channels are fully aligned to maximise sales.Control and manage profit margin delivery in line with target, ensuring category is managed correctly to control markdown spend.Work with the Merchandising & Supply chain Admin Manager to ensure category specific tasks are completed within the critical path milestonesSupport with the analysis and business requirements for stock allocations and work closely with the Channel Merchandiser to implement and complete.Weekly and Monthly Reporting to the Senior Management Team of Stock and Sales performance for the category.Full end to end supply chain administrationSupport the Channel Merchandiser in the coordination of the Freight Solution of UPS and International PartnersSupport in the reconciliation of all UPS shipments and payment approvalsDesignated Merch lead on the new UK wholesale initiative working cross functionally to support new relationship integration.Merch support on Name and Number category. Supporting in the planning, forecasting and trading the category in line with seasonal trends.Who are we looking for?To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in a merchandising function in a retail environment, preferably Junior Merchandiser level or an Assistant Merchandiser looking to further their career. As well as experience of managing a similar Factory or Supplier Base. You will have thorough knowledge of the planning process, budget/Cost Control and Stock Management. It is important you have wider commercial thinking to engage and influence key stakeholders across the business and ensure profit growth is core to all decisions made.The right candidate will have excellent management and interpersonal skills and an excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy. You will have the ability to communicate and interact interdepartmentally at all levels and have strong negotiation and persuasion skills to manage timely deliveries. You will High level capacity planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks to fixed deadlines. You will be able to develop and motivate a highly effective team.It is vital you are competent in the use of excel and other office 365 products, have experience in using Oracle Netsuite or an alternative ERP system. You will have Knowledge and experience/understanding of Peoplevox or an alternative WMS.Why should you apply? This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week.
