**Mechanical Fitter**
Rate: �22-�25 p/h DOE (Outside IR35)
Location: Wigan
Initial 3-Month Rolling Contract
Monday-Friday (Days)
Our client is a well-established and respected name in bespoke material handling solutions, as they continue to expand across sectors like automotive, aerospace. This is a long-term opportunity on a variety of exciting installation projects.
Role Overview:
You'll be involved in both workshop assembly and onsite installation of complex systems including conveyor lines, vacuum lifters, overhead cranes, and gantries.
Day-to-Day Duties Include:
* Mechanical fitting & assembly in the workshop
* On-site mechanical installations across the UK
* Mix of workshop (50%) and site work (50%)
* Working on Conveyors. Overhead cranes, and manual handling equipment
What We're Looking For:
* Time-served mechanical fitter or similar background
* Experience with conveyors, overhead cranes, and manual handling equipment
* Comfortable working across various locations and staying away when needed
* A proactive team player with good attention to detail
* Flexible to travel to site
* Manufacturing background preferred
Shift Details:
* Standard Workshop hours: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm (39 hrs/week)
* Accommodation and travel paid for when working away
* Weekend work available depending on the project
* Long-term contract potential - lots of ongoing work
* Diverse project exposure across sectors
