We\'re currently recruiting an ambitious Sous Chef to join Belhaven Hill School. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating an outstanding culinary experience. In return, you will have the chance to progress your career with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, 7:30-15:00/15:30 Week 1: Monday-Friday + Sunday evening Week 2: Monday-Thursday This role can be Term-time or 52 weeks per yearRate of Pay: £30,160 per annumLocation: EH42 1NNYour key responsibilities will include:Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customersOversee the daily preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 100 pupilsSupervise and training the team, including 3 KPs, 2 bakers, and a chefCreating a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and supportedPlan and execute balanced, nutritious, and diverse menus, taking into account the dietary needs of the pupilsLead the catering for summer events, open days, and other special occasions, ensuring that high-quality drinks and canapés are prepared and served to guestsOrdering food, looking after stock control and controlling food wasteOverseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standardsManaging budgets and successfully meeting financial targetsComplying with Food Handling & Hygiene standardsComplying with Health & Safety regulationsOur ideal Head Chef will:Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalentWorking with us has its perks!
