Locum Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) - Devon - �42.00ph
Hunter Gatherer Mental Health are supporting a Local Authority in Devon with a locum vacancy within their Daytime AMHP Service. The team are looking for a fully qualified AMHP to join them on a full-time basis, though part-time applications may also be considered.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join a supportive and well-structured service, making a real difference in a varied and dynamic environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Undertaking duties under the Mental Health Act 1983 and related legislation.
Taking Mental Health Act triage decisions at the point of referral.
Contributing to s13(1) MHA assessments and enhancing your expertise within a structured and supportive team setting.
Travelling across Devon to respond to situations where an AMHP presence is required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
You must be an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
Preferably, you'll already hold a current approval, though candidates with a complete portfolio ready for Devon's approval process will also be considered.
Experience making triage decisions under the MHA is essential.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout Devon.
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
Start Date: ASAP - 4 weeks
Contract Duration: 3-6 months ongoing
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (consideration may be given to part-time hours)
