Astute’s EPC Power team is partnering with an Operator within the Power Industry to recruit an O&M Director for their Waste to Energy project based near Glasgow.
The O&M Director comes with a day rate from �700.00 to �750.00 per day (Outside IR35).
Key skills and responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operations and maintenance activities across the EfW facility.

Ensure plant operates efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with environmental permits, health & safety legislation, and regulatory requirements.
*
Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams including operations, maintenance, engineering, and technical staff.
*
Drive performance improvements to achieve optimum availability, reliability, and throughput of the plant.
*
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise asset life.
*
Manage and report on plant budgets, OPEX and CAPEX, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
*
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and KPIs aligned with corporate goals.
*
Work closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
*
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
*
Lead root cause analysis investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
*
Support compliance audits, risk assessments, and emergency planning procedures.

* Near Glasgow
* �700.00 to �750.00 per day
