Hours:12 month FTC, 35 hours per weekSalary:£60,000 Per AnnumClosing Date:Wed, 16 Apr 2025Base salary is up to £60,000, dependent on experience.We’ve got a great opportunity for an experienced Regulatory Reward professional, with expertise in the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR), to join Skipton Building Society for a 12-month fixed term contract.The key purpose of the role is to provide oversight to all policies, processes, systems, and records to ensure effective, accurate and timely compliance with SM&CR regulations, and that the governance frameworks supporting these activities across the Society are fit for purpose. Working as part of our Reward and Governance function, this role also supports the Reward team and People Division’s compliance with all relevant regulation and governance requirements across the Society, ensuring that policies and processes are compliant with regulatory requirements - including regulatory return submissions, external disclosures and regulatory engagement.Over the 12 month contract the key objective of the role will be to focus on process improvement of our reporting, looking to automate where possible, and ensuring our core HR system, Workday, is set up to enable the effective and accurate reporting for all our governance requirements.Who are we?Not just another building society. providing appropriate visibility and reporting to stakeholders, up to and including the Board on the management of SM&CR. Continuously enhancing processes to optimise their integration with, and support of, other governance and risk frameworks.Key accountabilities include:SM&CR: Ensuring compliance with Fitness and Propriety requirements, identification of Senior Manager Function (SMF) and other certified roles, submission of regulatory applications, operationalisation of all SM&CR requirements such as responsibilities maps, FCA directory and Statements of Responsibility, and oversight and management of conduct rule breaches.Regulatory Reward Data and Analytics: Support the Reward & Governance team acting as SME for any regulatory reward data analytics. Through analysis of regulatory reward data, identify and provide insight submitting high quality reports to the Board Remuneration Committee and Executive People Committee.Training: Responsible for the content and delivery of training material to ensure colleagues understand their obligations under the SMCR and are complaint with the Conduct Rules. Ensure accountable SMFs have appropriate oversight of their responsibilities.SME: Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies regarding SMCR matters, maintaining strong breadth and depth of technical regulatory knowledge and sharing insights with stakeholders.Regulatory Developments: Supporting the Director of Reward & Governance with regulatory developments impacting the People Division, including Consumer Duty and as the RAF Governance Workstream Lead, act as subject matter expert to ensure that all requirements are being managed in line with PRA and FCA rules.What do we need from you?To be successful in this role you’ll need:Up to date technical knowledge and practical experience of the Senior Managers & Certif
