About The Role
- Support and Management: Assist the Registered Manager in all aspects of the residential care of the Ofsted registered home, ensuring a high-quality service that meets the needs of our children and young people.
- Holistic Guidance: Provide support to enable young people to grow in all areas of their lives, work towards emotional stability, and reach their full potential.
- Staff Supervision: Support and supervise the staff team, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all services meet quality standards and comply with the Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Transition Support: Guide children and young people through their placements and transitions, maintaining a holistic approach aligned with quality standards.
- Compliance and Philosophy: Maintain compliance with care standards and the home’s philosophy as outlined in the statement of purpose.
- Deputize Responsibilities: Assist and deputize for the home manager in all aspects of residential care, including on-call duties outside working hours.
- Daily Support: Promote good practice and address concerns or complaints, supporting staff on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working within children’s residential care.
- Education: QCF Level 3 Children & Young People qualification or equivalent. Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification is preferred but not essential.
