Revenues Officer
Location: Borehamwood / Hybrid
Rate: £26.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Job Description:
A local authority is seeking an interim Revenues Officer to join its Council Tax Billing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate assessment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and assess Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims accurately and efficiently.
- Handle enquiries from the public regarding Council Tax, Benefits, and Council Tax Support.
- Administer Council Tax and National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR).
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to resolve queries.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Local Government.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Council Tax administration.
- Experience in National Non-Domestic Rating (NNDR) administration.
- Familiarity with Housing Benefits and Council Tax Support.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
