Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a major Energy and Waste Management Company to recruit an Electrical Fitter for their small Waste Transfer Station located in the City of London near Cannon Street.
We are looking ideally for someone with a background in Electrical Fitting & Maintenance to carry out reactive & preventative maintenance on a variety of electrical plant across the site. The role is offering salary around �44,000 plus benefits.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Transfer Station Manager, as an Electrical Fitter you will be responsible for:
* Carrying out preventative maintenance inline with company policies and relevant legislation.
* Adjusting and installing equipment to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Carrying out electrical testing of equipment.
* Provide breakdown support and technical support.
* Assist with the management of the maintenance & stores database.
* Support with Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Permit to Work to ensure Safe Systems of Work.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Ideally apprentice trained with a relevant Electrical Engineering qualification.
* 16th / 17th / 18th edition
* Qualified in electrical installations, testing & inspecting.
Personal skills
The Electrical Fitter would suit someone who has:
* At least three years electrical experience ideally in an industrial setting
* Familiar with PLC’s, motors, drives and control panels
* Competent with IT equipment
* Able to work heavy plant
