Astute’s EPC Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor in the Power Industry to recruit a BOP Electrical Commissioning Manager on a 9 months contract basis for their CCGT plant in Grudziadz, Poland.
The BOP Electrical Commissioning Manager contract position comes with a day rate of €400.00, plus accommodation and travel costs are covered.
Key skills and responsibilities:
* Leading and executing electrical commissioning activities for a gas power project in Poland, until successful handover to the Operator.
* Hands-on commissioning of electrical components and systems such as, transformers protections, medium and low voltage switchgears, DC systems, rectifiers, inverters, motorized valves, instruments, pump-fan motors, etc. Fully competent at using the relevant test set equipment.
* Carrying out testing on electrical systems and equipment, as well as system troubleshooting and filling-in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols
* Understands and executes the equipment clearance (LOTO) procedure, as well as Job Safety Analysis / Work Authorisation / Confined Space / Hot Work Permits.
* Authorised for planning and executing LV electrical isolations.
* Cooperation with internal team members, guidance and coordination of external partners and sub-contractors, interacting with customers.
* Managing and leading the team of LV /MV/HV electrical, technicians, etc. Participate in the Plan of the Day meeting daily providing resourceful inputs on the work progress.
* Ensure all the activities conducted on site follow the correct process in accordance with project requirements and in strict compliance with all EHS requirements.
* Coordination of all necessary activities with all involved parties, such as commissioning team, erection team and sub-contractors
* Participation in the walk-downs for Turnover from construction to commissioning, identifying open items that prevent system start-up.
* Review and update -if needed- of the commissioning procedures to be conducted.
* At least 5 years working experience in power stations Electrical (MV/LV and I&C) Commissioning activities with demonstrable experience in a leading role in projects of similar relevance.
* BSc Degree in Electrical engineering
* Strong team spirit, working with an international team and other cultures.
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong Organizational skills
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office
* Fluent spoken and written English
