Then please read on as we may just have the role for you!We are currently recruiting for to join our friendly team at our Linford Block Plant, which is located close to Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. The site is easily accessible from Tilbury, Gravesend, Rochester, Gillingham, Dartford, Purfleet on Thames, Grays, Wickford, Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Brentwood, Billericay and the surrounding areas.Our Linford Plant manufactures sustainable, tough and energy efficient aerated blocks that we see all around us, whether this be in our homes or our work environments, you are never too far away from one of our products.Working as part of the site production team focusing on delivering and leading exceptional, SHE standards and meeting financial and operational targets, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for the safe operation of the plant ensuring daily tasks are completed including general site housekeeping and basic maintenance and the safe and efficient operation of mobile and fixed plant. The Shift Supervisor acts as a leader within the shift, coordinating required labour, training and development of the shift team. You will need to show a high degree of flexibility within your work as well as building good working relationships with your team.Main ResponsibilitiesLabour utilisation within budgeted controls.Training and development of team.Supervise team and manage contractors and haulier engagementEnsure safe loadoptimisation.Prioritising planned works.Ensuring that Health & Safety rules are adhered to and deliver safety/operational performance targets, supporting a culture of health and safety best practice by setting a personal example.Comply with all Tarmac/CRH Policies & Procedures.Supporting continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental performance standards.Supporting continuous improvement of process, plant and production.Effective completion of operator preventative maintenance tasksBalancing the time covering operation and house keepingEnsuring mobile plant cleanliness standards.Ensuring daily compliance checks and standards.Building working relationships with other production and maintenance personnel.Good time keeping and Flexibility.Ensure products of high quality are efficiently produced.Ensure that Site Inspections are completed and recorded.Ensure you read, understand and sign method statements and risk assessments for all activities.Attend and actively participate in Daily Briefings and Weekly Safety Briefings.Actively look to identify SHE improvement opportunitiesComply with planning and other operating restrictionsi.e.site boundaries, noise, dust, hours etcEnsure Daily KPIs are recorded accurately and work with the team to meet agreed KPI’sIdentify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvementIn addition to reviewing implementing any appropriate Best PracticeEffectively control daily operations of the plant in line with the operating SOP’sWork closely with maintenance team/contractors to co-ordinate maintenance activities during a normal day and during shutdownsIdealManufacturing process experienceHeavy plant and equipment experiencePC literate including Microsoft excel,word and power point.Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001, 18001,50001 standards.Good oral and written English
