Be part of changing lives by transforming health and care.Main ResponsibilitiesCommunication & Relationship ManagementProvide senior clinical support to the Business Unit (BU) Senior Leadership Team, ensuring clinical performance aligns with contractual and business objectives.Facilitate cross-service learning and monitor subcontractor compliance with performance agreements.Ensure the Senior Leadership Team has access to critical clinical quality and safety data.Analytical & Judgmental SkillsDevelop and embed audit plans to support service quality assurance.Interpret and communicate complex, sensitive clinical data to multidisciplinary teams.Lead reporting on CQUIN, QOF, KPIs, and Safety Events.Planning & OrganisationProvide expert advice and support across service teams.Produce key reports, including the Quality Assurance & Risk Report and Board reports.Ensure robust clinical governance systems are in place.Patient Care & ExperienceEnhance patient satisfaction and experience, integrating innovative service improvements.Ensure evidence-based care practices and share learning from incidents, complaints, and investigations.People & HR ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist training on quality assurance, risk management, and patient safety.Support HR investigations, including disciplinary processes.Information ManagementMaintain clinical and non-clinical records, ensuring data integrity.Act as Deputy Caldicott Guardian, ensuring safe and appropriate data sharing.Audit & ResearchConduct clinical governance reviews, ensuring compliance with NICE guidelines.Utilise benchmarking data to drive quality improvements.Autonomy & Decision-MakingOperate independently within agreed frameworks, escalating risks as necessary.Adapt to evolving priorities and manage workload effectively.Financial & Resource ManagementLead financial initiatives, including business case development for quality improvements.Ensure cost-effective service delivery and budget alignment with quality priorities.Health, Safety & Risk ManagementInvestigate patient safety incidents and maintain a robust BU Risk Log.Ensure risk management policies reflect national safety and governance standards.Policy & Service DevelopmentIntegrate national quality and safety guidelines into local policies.Champion Quality Improvement, advising and training colleagues.Quality & ComplianceEnsure services meet CQC, NICE, and contractual clinical requirements.Embed quality assurance processes across all service areas.For a full list of responsibilities please see attached job description. The Ideal CandidateEssential QualificationsDegree-level educationKnowledge & SkillsStrong knowledge of professional regulation and evidence-based practiceExcellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage time effectivelySkilled in facilitation, coaching, and influencing senior teamsExperience in patient safety investigations, action planning, and embedding lessons learnedStrong analytical skills, including data audits and benchmarkingChange Management & Clinical EffectivenessProven success in service mobilisation and change managementExperience in clinical guideline development and working with multidisciplinary teamsPersonal AttributesSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a teamStrong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesCommitted to continuous learning, equality & diversity, and health & safety policiesProfessional, discreet, and adaptable to flexible working hoursDesirable CriteriaQualificationsRelevant clinical qualification and healthcare registrationMaster’s level education or equivalent experienceExperience5+ years post-registration experience in health or social careExperience with clinical safety assessments (DCB0160) and Caldicott Guardian responsibilitiesAdditional Knowledge & SkillsUnderstanding of safeguarding, hygiene code, controlled drugs, health & safety, and CQC regulationsCompletion of NHS Digital Clinical Safety Foundation Course (CSO training)Other requirements: Car driver with own car insured for business useFor a full list of requirements please see attached job descriptionAbout The CompanyWe change lives by transforming health and care. Established in 2006, we are one of the UK's leading independent providers of community health and care services, working with health and care commissioners and communities to transform services with a focus on experience, efficiency and improved outcomes.
