Job Title: Account Manager (MOD)Salary: £61,000 - £65,000Location: No fixed location – responsible for sites in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Bicester, and surrounding areasPurpose of the RoleThe Account Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and control of all contract activity within their designated area. This includes ensuring commercial performance, fostering organic growth, overseeing people management, and maintaining compliance with legislative, company, and contractual requirements. The role requires ensuring that services delivered are compliant, financially viable, and meet the highest standards.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders.Understand and align with the client’s business environment and objectives.Build and maintain a network of client contacts, operating within the Clients for Life® framework.Emphasize partnership principles to develop growth opportunities.Operational ManagementMaintain high standards of service excellence, including brand integrity, quality, and social responsibility.Ensure compliance with all legislative and contractual requirements.Resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.Oversee the management of company property, cash, and stock.Leadership & People ManagementModel company values and management behaviours, reinforcing them at every opportunity.Provide clear leadership and direction to achieve business objectives and foster an engaged team.Lead by example, ensuring effective communication and adherence to HR policies and procedures.Cultivate a performance-driven culture with a strong focus on health and safety.Commercial FocusDrive the growth of services to meet client and commercial expectations.Manage financial performance, ensuring achievement of budget, gross margin, sales, wastage, and profit targets.Monitor contract performance and report on KPIs in line with contractual and business requirements.Ensure robust adherence to contractual obligations, supporting amendments as needed.Business Performance & ComplianceIdentify, report, and mitigate risks effectively.Ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.Drive continuous innovation to adapt to changing market needs while maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Align business plans with company strategic goals and implement corporate initiatives.Person SpecificationEssential Requirements:Proven experience in developing and managing client relationships.Demonstrated ability in effective management at a similar role/level.Leadership experience in managing and developing teams across multiple disciplines.Ability to identify and create new business opportunities.Strong decision-making capabilities with a strategic mindset.Experience in analysing data to develop and implement innovative solutions.Evidence of continuous professional development.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, dashboards, and analytics.Strong business integrity and commercial awareness.Desirable Requirements:Experience working within a military environment.Knowledge of Soft FM services such as contract catering, hospitality, retail, and cleaning.Proven track record of managing client relationships within a contract environment.Relevant qualification or experience in Business Management.Certifications in HSWA, IOSH, COSHH, and a food safety qualification equivalent to CIEH Level 3.Additional RequirementsMust have resided in the UK for a minimum of five years to meet security clearance requirements.This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional to lead, manage, and grow within a high-profile contract environment.
