Overall Purpose of the RoleWe are seeking a skilled SAP HR & Payroll Support Analyst to join our team, providing essential support for our HR and Payroll systems. This role will focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing SAP HR and Payroll functionality to ensure seamless payroll processing and HR operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors to resolve issues, improve system performance, and support key HR & Payroll initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day support for SAP HR & Payroll, ensuring timely issue resolution and system performance.Analyse current business processes and scenarios to identify areas for improvement within SAP and related functionalities.Troubleshoot payroll processing errors, wage type configurations, and Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs).Assist with SAP Time Management, including time evaluation and integration with Payroll.Support and maintain Payroll to ensure efficient payroll execution.Design, configure, and test SAP HR/Payroll custom configurations to align with business requirements.Work with SAP Support, Development, and Basis teams to ensure optimal system configuration and performance.Determine impacts within specific SAP modules and across the entire system, ensuring seamless integration.Participate in SAP system testing, upgrades, and patch implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to payroll operations.Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and propose long-term solutions.Ensure compliance with local payroll legislation and best practices within SAP HR/Payroll configurations.Document system processes, configurations, and provide training to end users where necessary.Work closely with external SAP support teams and vendors for system optimisation and issue escalation.EssentialExperience in SAP HR Payroll is required, with hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and configuration.Strong SAP configuration experience, including payroll schemas, PCRs, and wage type setup.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and provide effective solutions.Strong communication skills with attention to detail, capable of working with both technical teams and business users.Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, maintaining focus and efficiency.Ability to exercise sound judgement and evaluative thinking, especially in high-pressure situations.Ability to deal with unexpected challenges in a calm, considered, and professional manner.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration.Experience supporting Payroll operations and SAP Time & Attendance.Familiarity with SAP HR master data and employee lifecycle processes.Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and testing methodologies.
