We are currently looking for a Road Surfacing Supervisor to join our Yorkshire team at Tarmac. This key role will effectively manage sites including all mobile plant Foreperson, Operatives and any subcontractors. You will also lead planning and execution of all works daily ensuring SHE protocols and procedures are followed whilst overseeing the safe and efficient management of various sites. This role is easily accessible from Sheffield, Worksop, Leeds, Whitwood, Castleford and the surrounding area.We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Road Surfacing Supervisor you will have worked in a similar industry and will have blacktop experience and experience of working on Road Surface contracts using aggregates and asphalts.The role of Road Surfacing Supervisor will also include:Managing surfacing schemes across the whole of the business areas, both on the motorway and local networkCommunicating effectively daily with gang/ Foreperson by carrying out daily briefings and through on-site presenceManaging on-site paperwork and other relevant administration tasks in line with our Business Management SystemSupervise operations to ensure works are completed to the highest standard, complying with contract specification and preventing remedial action.
