We are looking for a thoughtful and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team within our Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Service in Luton. Whether you are looking to take your first step into your Occupational Therapy career or are seeking an opportunity to build upon your existing Band 5 working experience, you will be highly supported as you learn and build your skillset and develop in your career.As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will be working closely with a wider multi-disciplinary team, l delivering supportive and therapeutic sessions to adults and their families to reduce hospital admission, enabling adults to stay living at home independently. You will be responsible for carrying out holistic assessments and treatment of service users through the development of personalised care plans and goals and will work flexibly to ensure the service user's wide range of needs are met.About the area:Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Service is based in a suburb in the northern region of Luton. In just a short distance from here, you will find picturesque countryside walks, nature reserves, and scenic views.Transport links are well served, with rail links to Luton town centre, Bedford, Milton Keynes, London and beyond, as well as easy road access to Junctions 11 and 11a on the M1. Bus stops are located at intervals across the area, with routes leading directly into Luton town centre, neighbouring towns and villages such as Harpenden and Dunstable, and the mainline train station for London.Working days are Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Supporting daily triage and caseload management for the team Holding responsibility for own case load working with rehabilitation therapy workers to deliver therapeutic programmes as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Providing effective supervision to junior colleague, students, therapy workers and administrators within the team The Ideal CandidateAs an Occupational Therapist within HCRG Care Group Luton you'll join a team who are focused on clinical excellence.Your days will be rewarding and varied and include offering support to adults and their families to reduce hospital admission and enable adults to stay living at home independently. You will have an Occupational Therapy qualification and be registered with HCPC. Having a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is vital for this role to visit the patients around the community.
