We are currently looking for an experiencedQuantity Surveyor to join our friendly team in Norwich, Norfolk to be an integral member of the commercial team, supporting the Managing Quantity Surveyor and building strong relationships with internal and client counterparts.Main ResponsibilitiesAs the successfulQuantity Surveyor you will ideally have worked in a similar industry with experience of working on Highways, Infrastructure or Maintenance Projects.Other responsibilities for this role will include:Managing commercial projects from pre contract stage through to completionEngaging and managing sub-contracts including tender enquiries, award and assessment of monthly payment applicationsSupporting the production of monthly CVR'sProducing both internal and client forecastsProduction and substantiation through to agreement of associated Final AccountsEnsuring all Tarmac and client processes are followed to minimise commercial riskEnsuring work completed is accurately valued and followed through to cash collectionPreparing and submitting monthly application for payments to clientsPreparing and issuing early warning notices and compensation eventsDue to the nature of the work, a company vehicle is included with the role ofQuantity Surveyor,therefore you must have a FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 pointsThe Ideal CandidateAs our idealQuantity Surveyor you will have:Drive and ambition to succeedNEC3/4 experience -ESSENTIALGood interpersonal and problem-solving skillsGood oral and written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical abilityProcess driven with strong commercial awareness and good negotiation skillsIt is preferred that the successful candidate for the role ofQuantity Surveyor is educated to degree level although other equivalent qualifications, minimum HND, will be accepted. The role is based in Norfolk, Norwich and is easily commutable from Spixworth, Wymondham, Taverham, Loddon, Aylsham, Hemsby, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea, Lowestoft, Beccles, Dereham, Cromer, North Walsham Thetford and the surrounding areas.At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters.
