Healthy outcomes start with positive patient experiences.As a Decontamination Supervisor, you will support the Senior Management team in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and installations within the hospital estate, establishing efficient and effective compliance review procedures. Primarily responsible for the Decontamination services operational equipment, Electrical, Mechanical and Building Infrastructure. Control of Contractors including permits to work on specialist and critical systems within the PFI hospitals as defined but not limited to those set out in HTM00 to HTM08 and any associated statutory and mandatory legislationWhat you’ll do: Competent in fault diagnosis, repair, and testing of medical devices (Sterilizers, Washer Disinfectors, Endoscope re-processors, Drying cabinets) per HTM 01-01, HTM 01-06, BS EN 16442.Review of validation test results (daily/weekly/quarterly/yearly) according to current guidelines and AE D recommendations.Perform Planned Maintenance of Medical Devices based on Manufacturer recommendations.Calibration of test equipment and error source analysis.Interpret chemical and microbiological water quality results.Compare and utilize technical documents from the Department of Health for decontamination procedures.Safely operate and maintain plant and equipment at PFI Hospital, managing repairs and new work independently or as part of a team.Support Engineering Management to meet contractual response times, producing reports to meet contractual requirements.Take on Authorized or Competent Person responsibilities for specified systems, ensuring compliance with HTM and legislative requirements.Manage reactive maintenance, provide technical support, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and quality assurance systems.What you bring: Completed C+G/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, with a recognised electrical apprenticeship.Qualified to 18th Edition Electrical Regulations with substantial experience in the electrical trade.Skilled in fault finding, reading drawings, diagnosing, and repairing equipment using technical knowledge.Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of assessing situations and prioritizing effectively.Logical problem solver, confident under pressure, and able to respond to urgent situations.Prepared to work on standby rota, attend relevant courses, and maintain Health and Safety knowledge.Computer literate, preferably with knowledge of building management systems, and strong verbal/written communication skills.Desirable experience in electrical maintenance, healthcare settings, and working with multi-disciplinary teams.What we offer: Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
