Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading renewable energy provider with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Plant Operator for its Dagenham site.
The Plant Operator role comes with a salary of up to �39,000 following a day and night shift pattern.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Manager you will:
* Operate and monitor SCADA systems to ensure efficient energy production.
* Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and first-line repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
* Efficiently operate mobile plant equipment such as Telehandler and Loading Shovel.
* Ensure high levels of Health, Safety, and Environmental practice, with a duty of care to yourself and others.
* Complete all safety and operational checks as required.
* Control mobile plant and vehicles in the area (traffic management).
* Assess incoming and outgoing loads for quality and report any contamination.
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
* Report any accidents, incidents, damage, or suspicious activity immediately.
* Be the first point of contact for drivers arriving on-site.
* Assist with and complete various maintenance tasks under supervision, unless signed off on.
* Other duties as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Experience in an operational role within anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment, or a similar industrial setting.
* Mechanical or electrical engineering skills would be advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to health & safety and environmental best practices.
