In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the area, ensuring compliance with the Statement of Requirements (SOR), and upholding company policies. You will lead a team, maintain company standards, and build strong relationships with clients. What you’ll do:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cleaning team, ensuring service delivery aligns with client contracts, legislation, and cleaning specifications, while driving positive changes in standards.Maintain labour costs and overall budgets, manage stock control of cleaning materials, ensure cost-effective practices, and proactively seek operational efficiencies through technologies and innovations.Recruit, induct, and develop cleaning staff, ensuring all training, appraisals, and HR policies (e.g., absence management, holiday tracking) are up to date and adhered to.Conduct regular audits and monitor standards, ensuring strict adherence to company QA procedures.Maintain strong communication with the client and mess committees, ensuring client satisfaction and ongoing support.Identify staff training needs and implement in-house training programs, collaborating with the Personnel Department.Prepare client reports, attend meetings, and manage quality assurance audits to ensure cleaning standards meet or exceed the specified contractual requirements, maintaining a positive relationship with the client.Maintain the unit budget and complete timely reports.Plan and hold regular staff meetings to ensure clear communication of local and company updates.Seek opportunities to enhance business and support defence contracts.Monitor subcontractors and liaise with clients as required.Develop your skills and knowledge within the Area Cleaning Manager role to support both personal and team success. What you bring:Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within cleaning services.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to maintain a high standard of service while managing staff and client relations.In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, quality assurance, and budget control.What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
