Are you an experienced and dynamicMulti Skilled Operative looking for your next position?We are currently looking for aMulti Skilled Operative at our asphalt plant in Hayes, Middlesexto work on the day-to-day operations including mixing Asphalt using highly advanced computer-generated programmes, operating the weighbridge, driving mobile plant and other site duties required to the successful operation of the plant.Main responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the successfulMulti Skilled Operativewill be responsible for working alongside the team to achieve the site plan, meeting production demands, ensuring that all stocks are maintained and replenished in good time, along with working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard.Your responsibilities in the role ofMulti Skilled Operative will include (not exhaustive):Working with members of the team to ensure customers receive good quality material and on-time deliveriesAssisting the Supervisor to meet production targetsFollowing SHE policies and proceduresEnsuring Plant continually conforms with safety requirementsHealth, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilitiesInspections on the plant and acting on defects and implementing remedial actionEnsuring that plant availability is maximisedWorking to keep housekeeping to a high standard on siteFlexibility and adaptability are key to this role as the site operates on a 24/5 production basis, overtime is available to meet with the sites production requirements.The ideal candidate:The idealMulti Skilled Operative will possess the following:Knowledge of Asphalt / Readymix / RMX Operations or experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment would prove highly beneficialIT Literate - essentialPrevious experience in mobile and plant operations - highly desirableShovel License – highly desirableGood Timekeeping – flexible as to the sites production requirementsGood Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line ManagementPrevious experience as a Multi Skilled Operative working in a Plant / Quarry / Heavy / Industrial Manufacturing environment would prove highly beneficial, but this is not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.The role is based our Asphalt Plant in Hayes, Middlesex. The site is easily accessible from towns such West Drayton, Slough, Hounslow, Watford, Twickenham, Stanwell, Northolt, Ealing, Acton, Harrow, Pinner, Ruislip, Gerrards Cross, Northwood, Feltham, Beaconsfield, Maidenhead, Amersham, Stanmore, Rickmansworth and the surrounding areas.At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters.
