You will derive satisfaction from managing, training, and supporting your team, ensuring they consistently deliver a professional hospitality experience across both Public Catering and Conference and Events. Your role will also involve maintaining company standards and meeting client expectations.Key Responsibilities:Support the venue management to ensure the team is motivated, well-trained, and equipped with the necessary skills to meet budget targets.Serve as a key liaison for all clients, ensuring that their expectations are not only met but exceeded.Assist in managing the operational team to identify and act on sales opportunities, ensuring we maximise revenue from events.Oversee all aspects of labour scheduling, forecasting, and actual labour costs. Ensure future event staffing needs are planned and secured up to three months in advance.Demonstrate excellent control of operating costs in line with targets, bringing innovative ideas and keeping abreast of current trends.Contribute to the overall management and accountability of forecasting, budgeting, and delivery.Support the delivery of the venue\'s growth strategy in collaboration with the client.Manage the venue in line with the standards set by Compass Group UK & Ireland, ensuring the efficient and effective running of the contract.Foster and maintain strong client relationships.Demonstrate a customer-focused, financially astute approach to achieving commercial objectives, including net growth and retention targets.Lead by example in operational excellence, financial performance, health and safety, and customer satisfaction.As the Deputy General Manager, you will ideally have a proven background in high-quality conference and event catering. You will view the venue as your own business, using your entrepreneurial skills to create a thriving and successful environment.We work in total partnership with our clients, and you will play a key role in ensuring their aspirations and visions are realised. You will be committed to delivering 5-star service across all revenue streams.The ideal candidate will possess excellent management and communication skills, a strong understanding of report writing and financial management, and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
