**Laminator Fitter **

Blackburn/Darwen area

�14.00-15.00p/h + hol. pay (PAYE)

3-month temporary contract - likely extension/on-going/T2P

** We have several positions available for an immediate start! **

I am working with a key client in the Blackburn area who are a leading global manufacturer and supplier of technical components to the aerospace sector. The Laminator Fitter is responsible for the assembly, fitting, and bonding of composite materials to create strong, lightweight structures. This role involves working with various materials such as carbon fibre, and resin to manufacture components that meet precise specifications.

As a Laminator Fitter, you will be required to conduct the following duties:

Prepare moulds and work surfaces by cleaning and applying release agents.
Cut, lay up, and fit composite materials, such as carbon fibre, according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
Apply resin and other bonding agents to composite materials, ensuring even distribution and proper adhesion.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and fit composite components.
Inspect laminated parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
Trim, sand, and finish laminated components to meet specified dimensions and surface finishes.
Collaborate with production team leaders and quality control to ensure all parts meet required specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of laminating tools and equipment.

As a Laminator Fitter you will need to have the following attributes:

* Previous experience in laminating, fitting, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in laminating and fitting processes.
* Strong understanding of composite materials and laminating techniques
* Hard worker with a drive to hit targets, while keeping standards extremely high
* A strong team player
* Experience within a technical manufacturing environment
* Composite materials experience would be highly beneficial (not essential)
* Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality

* Day shift working Monday to Thursday 9.25 hrs per day (37hrs p/w), plus OT, Fridays & Saturdays at T�, Sundays and BH and T2
