What is the job role?Coventry Children's Services are recruiting for a Senior Practitioner post in our Through Care service on a fixed term / secondment basis to cover maternity leave on a part tiem basis, workign 22.5 hours per week Joining us as a Senior Practitioner in our Through Care service you will work closely alongside a team manager and take responsibility for the management and delivery of an effective and efficient service for children, young people, and their families.The service works with looked-after children and care leavers aged 12-25. This is an exciting service to be a part of with the voice of the child central to all the work we do.This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Who are we looking for?We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in working with children, young people, and their families. The ideal candidate will have previously supported children and families when children have been taken into care and will have experience providing guidance and supervision to less experienced colleagues.
