Position Overview
We are currently looking for a qualified and motivated Social Worker to join our agency at Sirona Medical Social Work department. The Family and Friends Team offers an assessment and support service to family and friends carers, who provide alternative accommodation for children who are not able to remain within the care of their birth parents. You will be completing viability assessments, SGO assessments, Regulation 24 fostering assessments and may be required to complete other assessments required by the Team. You will be also offering a support to kinship carers in a variety of situations/circumstances including Special Guardianship Support (ASGSF assessments and SGO reviews). In this role you will have the opportunity to work with professionals of every discipline. With a remit spanning the assessment and support of connected persons, you’re guaranteed different challenges every day. The role
demands close collaboration and good working relationships across the integrated service and CLA team, CIN teams and Care Experience service to deliver an integrated approach to child care planning.
Qualifications
- BA Honors or Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Social Work England Registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Completed Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
- At least three years of post-qualifying experience employed directly within an LA children's service in England
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach with a dedication to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
