A Day in the Life of a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse:
Join our team as a Chemotherapy Nurse and make a real difference in the lives of oncology patients. Your core responsibilities include:
* Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments for oncology patients.
* Providing IV chemotherapy administration and ensuring safe home treatment.
* Educating and training patients (or carers) to self-administer medications.
* Performing dressings, blood transfusions, and monitoring patient well-being.
* Acting as the bridge between patients and their hospital care team.
* Delivering professional care with empathy and expertise.
Requirements & Qualifications:
* NMC-registered RGN with a Chemotherapy delivery qualification.
* Experience in administering oncology medication and IV therapy.
* Strong understanding of NHS patient management and treatment pathways.
* Excellent communication and patient care skills.
