The Business Support Officer will be providing high quality administrative and business support to key performance and governance forums. The postholder will work closely with different members of the Board and Executive Leadership Team to prepare for meetings, arrange agendas, collate papers, reports, and ensure accurate minutes are taken and actions are logged and followed through.Able to manage a high and varied workload through good planning, prioritisation by handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality of Board and Executive members by keeping information secure and exercising sound judgment.This is a full-time role where you will be required to work both from home and in our office based in Bristol at least 2-3 days per week.Key responsibilities of the role are:To assist the Governance and Impact Manager in developing and maintaining a governance framework, incorporating Board and Committee meetings, Executive Leadership Performance and Business meetings, accurate minute taking and maintaining action logs and supporting risk management processesTo support the smooth delivery of business management and administration processes throughout the organisationTo assist the Governance and Impact Manager to ensure that key business management and governance processes are being undertaken on a consistent and timely basisSupport board and ELT by improving critical business processes that will enhance performance and better manage organisational risksSupport the development of key reports ensuring that they are written and compiled effectively for key audiences internally and externallyMaintaining key governance registers and processesWork flexibly to provide support for specific organisational projects as and when requiredAbout youYou would have experience operating in a small team and engaging confidently with senior managers and stakeholders, along with experience in multi-tasking and supporting the delivery of basic projects working in an environment in which deadlines are essential.Skills you would be required:-Excellent written and verbal communication skills including minute-takingAccurate proof-reading skills with ability to ensure documents meet professional standards in relation to spelling, grammar and formattingExcellent organisational and administration skillsAbility to engage with key stakeholders and deal with people at all levelsExcellent computer literacy and proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to schedule and track time sensitive tasks and deadlinesSolution orientated and able to take initiativeDemonstrate Brandon values and behavioursIf you are interested and would appreciate having an informal conversation, please contact Kerry Vernon, Governance & Impact Manager, Kerry Vernon Kerry.Vernon@brandontrust.org or Jasbir Sennitt, Recruitment Specialist, jasbir.sennitt@brandontrust.orgThe closing date for application is Sunday 2nd March 2025Successful applicants for this role will require a basic DBS check.We are an Equal Opportunities Employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications.
