The site is easily accessible from Coalville, Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock, Rugeley, Stafford, Burton Upon Trent, Derby, Castle Donnington, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Lutterworth, Nuneaton, Birmingham, Solihull and the surrounding areas.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Please note this position requires you to work on a shift pattern 6am -2pm, 2pm -10pm or 10pm -6am.Main ResponsibilitiesAs the successful Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for managing all aspects of electrical and mechanical maintenance and plant reliability; including the management of breakdown cause and availability analysis.On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer will include (not exhaustive):Identifying and managing safety and energy opportunitiesManaging site-based projectsDelivering a high level of technical support as well as hands on rectification. Managing the maintenance activities on siteDeveloping and coaching othersCompleting preventative maintenance inspections on automated packing and palletising equipmentSupporting maintenance activities and identifying solutions to maintenance, operational and reliability issuesThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal Maintenance Engineer will be a time served electrical technician with experience within an industrial environment. Additional experience in mechanical fitting, welding and industrial automation would also be of benefit.If you have a time served electrical apprenticeship with qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or have previous experience of working within an electrical industrial environment, this would be beneficial as would having a knowledge of electrical standards and maintenance practices.
