Join our dedicated team at HMP Chelmsford as a Neurodiversity Support Worker.As part of our team, you will play a key role in screening and assessing individuals to offer tailored interventions for people whose communication, thinking style, and coping strategies are affected by the presence of a Neurodevelopmental Disorder. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each person receives the support they need to thrive.What We’re Looking For:Experience or training in supporting individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or learning disabilities).A compassionate and empathetic approach with the ability to adapt communication and support strategies.Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with professionals across different disciplines.Excellent organisational and communication skills.This is a brand new role to our service, that you will be able to make your own.Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pmIf you are committed to promoting neurodiversity and believe in the potential of every individual, we would love to hear from you. They may have had previous experience of working in a prison setting. They are able to work as part of a team and independently.
