Astute’s Power team is exclusively partnering with a leading O&M provider to recruit a Maintenance Superintendent for their CHP facility in Seascale.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will:
* Lead the maintenance team to ensure plant reliability, availability, and asset integrity.
* Manage planned and unplanned maintenance, plant outages, and assigned projects.
* Oversee the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure effective asset management.
* Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve reliability and performance.
* Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and ISO management system requirements.
* Monitor equipment performance, diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions.
* Act as a deputy for the Engineering & Maintenance Manager when required.
* Manage contractor relationships, ensuring service agreements meet operational needs and budgets.
* Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to site personnel.
* Participate in the site Duty Manager / Call-Out rota as part of the incident control plan.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* HNC (or higher) in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Proven experience in maintenance management within power generation or heavy industry.
* Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance processes.
* Familiarity with CMMS (such as Maximo) and asset management strategies.
* Understanding of legislative, safety, and compliance requirements.
* Experience managing contractors and budgets.
