Our ValuesIn line with our One Coventry Values, we want to ensure that our communities are represented across our workforce. A vital part of this is ensuring we are a truly inclusive organisation that encourages diversity in all respects, including diversity of thinking. We particularly welcome applicants from minority ethnic, LGBT+, disabled and neurodiverse communities to make a real difference to our residents so that equity and respect remains at the heart of everything we do.
Our Values are:
Open and fair: We are fair, open, and transparent.
Nurture and develop: We help and encourage everyone to be their best and do their best.
Engage and empower: We talk and listen to others, working together as one.
Create and innovate: We embrace new ways of working to continuously improve.
Own and be accountable: We work together to deliver the best services for our residents.
Value and respect: We put diversity and inclusion at the heart of all we do.
What is the job role? Are you looking for a change and a chance to progress your leadership and management skills?
This is an exciting time to join our Core Occupational Therapy Service within Coventry Adult Social Care.
As part of this role you will be working with partners across the city and the region to support users, their families and their carers, putting the person at the heart of everything we do, encouraging diverse and inclusive working environments.
The Core Occupational Therapy Service within Coventry is key in helping people across diverse communities live fulfilled lives, working alongside health and social care professionals, committed to achieving the best outcomes.
Coventry Core Occupational Therapy provide advice, equipment, assistive technology and adaptations to enable people to remain in their own homes and to allow them to continue to be as independent as possible in daily activities. You will have the responsibility and accountability for the effective management of the Core Therapy team alongside other OT Team Leads. This is an opportunity to lead and improve service delivery.

Who are we looking for?The adults we work with come from a variety of backgrounds and in order to deliver the best possible care it is vital that we have a workforce that is culturally competent and represents and understands their unique experiences and perspectives.
Within our management team men and people from minority ethnic backgrounds are currently under-represented, as a result we would like to encourage both men and people from minority ethnic backgrounds to apply for this post. This does not prevent any other applicants with a protected characteristic or a non-protected characteristic from applying.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, and dynamic team leader who is culturally sensitive and who can lead and develop the service area along with your OTTL peers to maximise service delivery and optimise performance. You will need to have experience in managing therapy teams.
If you have an OT qualification, experience in managing staff and teams within a Therapy Service, including monitoring and delivering on performance indicators, this role will suit your skill set.
Knowledge and experience in adaptations and prescribing health and social care equipment for both adults and children is essential.
In return, we will give you all you need to make a difference, with the help of a supportive staff network, training and development opportunities, and excellent progression opportunities.
