Role Details:
* Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
* Band: 6
* Location: Birmingham (50% remote)
* Duration: 3 months (ongoing)
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
* Start Date: ASAP
* Pay Rate: �26 per hour
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Community Psychiatric Nurse specialising in telephone triage, you'll play a crucial role in assessing and supporting individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting telephone triages to assess the mental health needs of individuals struggling with eating disorders, psychosis, perinatal issues, and urgent mental health concerns.
* Providing timely and compassionate support, offering advice, guidance, and signposting to appropriate services based on clinical assessments.
* Carrying out risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, identifying any immediate concerns and escalating where necessary.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans tailored to each individual's unique needs and circumstances.
* Offering a listening ear and clinical expertise to help patients feel supported and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A valid NMC registration as a mental health nurse.
* Proven experience in community-based mental health care or triage settings.
* Excellent communication and assessment skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* The confidence to work independently while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
