We care about your health and wellbeing – we provide a range of benefits that support this including cycle to work initiative and discounted gym membershipWhat Will You Be Doing?As Senior FA Technical Planning Lead you willServe as a key financial planning subject matter expert within the Financial Advice division.Ensure the financial advice proposition aligns with Consumer Duty requirements, delivering value for money to Skipton's target market and ensuring good customer outcomes.Design, develop, and maintain robust financial advice policies that support efficient advice journeys, drive positive customer outcomes, and address complex technical areas such as taxation, pensions, retirement planning, trust planning, and advice rules.Regularly review and update policies and guidance to ensure alignment with our financial advice proposition approach.Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes, collaborating with the Head of Financial Advice Proposition to shape best practices across financial planning areas.Monitor the regulatory landscape to keep financial advice propositions and supporting documentation updated in response to changes or new requirements.Analyse the impact of industry trends and legislative developments, ensuring the advice proposition and policies remain accurate, relevant, and compliant.Act as a key contributor to working groups and project works treams, helping to shape and implement FA strategy.Collaborate with stakeholders on audits, quality assurance, and compliance monitoring activities to ensure adherence to standards.Provide expert technical input and support for complex cases requiring in-depth financial pl
anning knowledge.What Do We Need From You?We’re looking for someone who has worked in a similar role before and possesses the following skills, knowledge and experience.Ideally level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (may consider level 4 dependent on experience)Customer focused and passionate about ensuring our financial advice proposition is accessible to as many of our customers as possible.Deep technical knowledge of financial planning and investment management products, services, pricing, and value.Experience in financial services proposition roles, ideally within the mass affluent management/advice sector.You’ll need strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability work effectively and build relationships with our senior leaders.You’ll be able to work autonomously in building knowledge and keeping up to date with industry trends.Strong relationship skills - creating trust and credibility alongside giving challenge and influence.Broad & adaptable communication skills and ability to strategically influence key stakeholders and broader audiences.Ability to analyse and interpret complex data, legislation, and industry developments and present findings in a relevant understandable format.Strong organisational skills and ability to designate resource appropriately to ensure potential risk areas are fully investigated and reported.Ability to construct, present and analyse MI relevant to all aspects of Financial Advice.
