Land Rights Manager
Location: London / Hybrid (Please note this role can be based from a West Midland office with an adjustment in the salary)
Salary: £41,750 - £56,465
About the Role:
A prestigious client organisation is seeking a highly skilled Utility Land Rights Manager to contribute to the groundbreaking High-Speed Rail Project. This hybrid role, based in London or Birmingham, offers the opportunity to be part of a transformative infrastructure initiative.
As the Utility Land Rights Manager, you will oversee and manage established processes to ensure the timely delivery of utility land rights required for the project. You’ll work within the Land and Property team, which is responsible for acquiring and managing land and property to support project construction while minimising impacts on affected parties. The role also involves reviewing, advising on, and managing utility diversion processes.
We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in land rights management and a strong understanding of utility rerouting, negotiations with external strategic suppliers, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage processes to secure utility land rights for the project.
- Review and advise on utility diversion plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Negotiate with external strategic suppliers to achieve project objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective engagement and collaboration.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- A relevant qualification in Surveying, Property, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- In-depth understanding of the compulsory purchase process.
- Knowledge of the utility industry.
Preferred Experience:
- Proven expertise in land rights management.
- Background in the utilities sector or working on utility rerouting projects.
- Experience in managing strategic supplier relationships and driving performance.
- Track record of working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
