As a Senior Systemic Neurodiversity Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing tailored and holistic support for neurodivergent children, young people, and their families.

Your role will combine leadership, trauma-informed care, and systemic advocacy to deliver high-quality, family-centered interventions that prioritize resilience, equity, and well-being.

In addition to leading your team, you’ll engage directly with those you support, fostering trust and understanding while making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Our service operates Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and this is a full-time position with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed to best meet the needs of families.

Travel within the region may occasionally be required to fulfill the responsibilities of this role, and we’ll ensure you feel supported in balancing this aspect of the position.

This role is fixed-term until March 2026, giving you the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team focused on impactful, long-term change.

Main ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team Support


Provide supportive line management to a team of six practitioners, offering regular supervision, collaborative performance feedback, and personalized development reviews to help them thrive in their roles.
Cultivate a positive, trauma-informed, and inclusive team culture that encourages reflective practice, open communication, and resilience.
Offer guidance and encouragement to practitioners as they manage complex caseloads, helping them incorporate trauma-informed principles into their work.


Championing Trauma-Informed Practice


Advocate for trauma-informed care across systems and services, promoting its importance in creating equitable and compassionate support.
Lead the development and delivery of engaging training sessions, workshops, and resources to embed trauma-informed approaches within the team and partner organizations.


Service Delivery and Quality Assurance


Maintain a small and focused caseload to stay connected to frontline service delivery, ensuring your insights directly inform leadership and support.
Guide the team in adhering to organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and professional guidelines while ensuring a trauma-informed perspective remains at the core of all practices.

The Ideal CandidateEssential

Qualifications


A relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., Psychology, Social Work) or an equivalent professional qualification in a related field.


Experience


Proven experience providing assessments, therapeutic interventions, and case management for neurodivergent children and young people (CYP).
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, including managing teams and providing performance evaluations.
Experience working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.


Skills


Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build meaningful connections and foster understanding.
Ability to manage complex caseloads while offering effective support to team members.
Proficiency in safeguarding practices, risk assessment, and intervention planning.


Knowledge


A solid understanding of trauma-informed care and systemic approaches to supporting neurodivergent individuals.
Awareness of child development, neurodivergence, and the broader psychosocial factors that influence well-being.

Desirable

Qualifications


A postgraduate qualification in CYP IAPT – ASC/LD pathway.
Advanced training in trauma-informed practice or systemic care approaches.


Experience


Familiarity with working within CAMHS ND pathways.
Experience using routine outcome measures (ROMs) and service evaluation tools.

Other Requirements


A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
